Aloe powder is a general expression which may refer to various products, basically to those aloe powders obtained from a freeze drying process (liophyllization), a spray drying process or a simple dehydrating process.

Aloe powders are produced and marketed because they offer logistical advantages, that is, the buyers obtain a product with low transport costs, and the product has simple logistical operations. Just to have an idea, compare the size of a 20 feet container loading about 20 tons of aloe juice with a case containing 100 kg of aloe 200X powder, which when reconstitution is completed, is exactly the same volume of the aloe juice loaded into the container.

Aloe dehydrated powder is an aloe powder obtained from the dehydratation process. Such process is done with an industrial oven at certain temperatures, but we found some products which have been sun-dehydrated. The powder may be produced from the whole aloe leaf or just form the aloe rind (also called aloe skin).

The most common presentation for this product is the 10X powder. This product is basically used in the supplements industry and the animal nutrition market.

Aloe Gel Spray Dried Powder

Aloe gel spray dried powder is an aloe powder obtained from an aloe concentrate through a spray drying process, at certain high temperatures. In some cases, and depending on the temperature and drying conditions, some aloe properties may be lost. There are variations on this product depending the technology used into the processing.

The most common presentation for this product are the 200X and the 100X powder. The final product may be a powder from whole leaf aloe gel or from inner fillete aloe vera gel (also named as aloe pulp). Some products are also decolorized.

The most common presentation for this product is the 200X powder, even when some companies offer the 100X powder obtained by the same process. The final product may be a powder from whole leaf aloe gel or from inner fillete aloe vera gel (also named as aloe pulp). Some products are also decolorized.
